Note that this is the first D'elf show with Mr. Rourke on turntables. The addition of Adam Deitch on drums also makes this show one to collect.
The show was performed in the "cafe" of the Clark University student union. There was no alchohol to be had, but lots of coffee and tea. Unfortunately, most of the kids left at setbreak.
An incomplete (first set cut) audience recording of this show exists, but does not circulate.

This is the first Club d'Elf show that I've ever heard and it blew me away! Absolutely phenomenal! For those of you who aren't familiar with the band, the music sounds jamband-jazzy-ambient yet danceable-instrumental-hip and dark. If you like the band "Lake Trout," you will dig these guys and vice-versa. (By the way, the Internet Archive (IA) has a bunch of Lake Trout shows.) The quality of this show is so good that it sounds like an official release. One of my favorite parts is actually the 19 minute "Rourk's setbreak spin," where he spins great jazz records and transitions into old skool hip-hop. After discovering how amazing this show is, I can't wait to download the other Club d'Elf shows in the IA!

A little more accessible than some other d'Elf shows, which means it's chock full of funky hooks and great jams, in addition to the usual weirdness. Don't miss it.

Excellent d'Elf show with studio quality sound. Bootlegs don't sound any better than this: a perfect blend of theory, technology, and taste.
Definitely get this one.

Mister Rourke's setbreak is great, think the Cut Chemist/DJ Shadow collaborations. Also, the show is a fine representation of d'Elf, chill grooves well played

if you are new to d'elf, start here. this is my favorite show which i have heard. it is not as experimental as some of their other manifestations (see 4-20-00 with joe maneri), but the grooves are tight and melodic. this is definitely a mellow show and makes great late night listening.
btw, club d'elfs lineup and sound change from week to week, so it is worth listening to a bunch of shows and finding out which players suite your style.
